Testimonials

City of Stonnington

“It has been my pleasure to work with Nicola Archer.  As an experienced communicator, Nicola is at home dealing with external stakeholders as well as managing upwards with Mayor, Councillors, CEO and the Executive Team. Nicola was on contract (six months) to Stonnington, and I would engage her again when we are in need of additional resources.
During a challenging period of change and uncertainty, Nicola proved to be an extremely efficient, organised and self-starting communications professional. She has a great eye for a story, a good news sense, an excellent writing style and professional design and production management skills.

During her time at Stonnington, Nicola was pitched into a wide variety of tasks across social media, video and photography, website publishing, news and media relations, publications, events, sports and leisure and the arts.  She delivered on time and as requested every time. Nicola was an enthusiastic and creative voice around the planning table, and came up with a series of initiatives to promote the achievements of Council, a number of which generated excellent media coverage as well as important internal and community stakeholder satisfaction.

Nicola delivered excellent results for us in a recent media campaign to highlight our new Teeling Whiskey releases . She leveraged her experience, relationships, and in-depth understanding of the Australian media landscape to curate a campaign that garnered national coverage for our brand across multiple channels; print, on-line, and key social media outlets. I would highly recommend Nicola to anyone seeking high quality, impactful, and professional PR services”

“Nicola Archer is one of the finest communications practitioners in Australia. She has twice lectured at my invitation to RMIT University’s Masters’ Degree in Arts Administration post-graduate students.  In both instances, she was an accessible, compelling and inspirational speaker, driving home the chapter and verse of what’s required in fulfilling an effective communication’s role.”

Over three years she orchestrated several successful product launches, 100th Anniversary Tour in America, as well as delivering ongoing editorial in mainstream press in Australia.. Excellent coverage has been received in a range of media, including TV and radio, and the return on investment has been more than three-fold. I would definitely recommend her services.”

Chinese Museum Re-launch

“Thank you Nicola for your PR work to re-launch our Chinese Museum after being closed for 6 months for a $1.5m renovation. We were concerned that it would take some time to re-establish ourselves, but the amount of publicity you gained for us including feature stories, TV news coverage plus a profile story on ABC’s “Stateline” was priceless! It took the Museum’s awareness in the general community to a new level immediately. The Museum is now a hive of activity with increased visitation. Your efforts have been much appreciated.”

Mark Wang, Deputy Chairman, Museum of Chinese Australian History Inc.

“Nicola Archer provides PR and media services and support to Australian Community Foundation.  As such, I am delighted to provide a testimonial for Nicola and would highly recommend her.  She is a strategic thinker as well as a detailed implementer, thoroughly skilled and experienced in all technical and professional aspects of PR and media relations.

What makes Nicola stand out, however, is that she is genuinely passionate about and committed to our business.  We have developed a real partnership where she not only responds to our needs but pushes us to develop new opportunities.  She follows up and persists until we achieve the result we are after, constantly looking for ways to deliver the desired outcomes and to maximise all opportunities.

The results she has achieved for us are extraordinary – and well beyond any expectations we may have had.  We are very pleased to have Nicola on our team.”

“The Fifth Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition invites 56 international classical musicians from around the world to compete against the best of the best in the biggest competition of its kind in the world.

Nicola Archer staged media events and managed all the communications, media events and publicity and she is brilliant! She is intuitive, lateral-minded and dynamic to work with. Nicola helped us take chamber music to another level (attracting mainstream media attention from television, newspaper, radio and social) – her work touched an enormous audience and most importantly, made every newcomer feel very welcome in the process. She is tremendously creative, insightful and flexible and the exact person that I want to continue working with for a very long time to come!”

Benjamin Woodroffe, General Manager, Chamber Music Australia

Australia Post – Publicity Campaigns (12 years and various projects)

“All Nicola Archer’s work was undertaken diligently and efficiently with little or no direction. Nicola’s organisational ability, writing, marketing acumen and interpersonal skills are of an excellent standard.  Importantly, Nicola delivered on what she promised, on time and on budget.  Her work was performed in a high-pressure environment, where initiative and decisiveness and maturity were essential”.

Ostindo International

Your comment that: “I can’t believe that 22 years has passed since starting Nicola Archer Communications”, very much reflects (if I recall correctly) an advertisement punch line; “It passes in the blink of an eye”.

A great summation of the passage of time. Time that seemingly goes so fast.

Am I surprised that you have achieved what you have? Definitely not. Your success cannot be put down to luck, being in the right place at the right time . . .

And to simply say you have achieved what you have through sheer doggedness and capability, sells you short.

Many people are dogged, all with varying degrees of capability, but many fall well short of, or in, many of those virtues that you possess:

  • genuine decency
  • warmth
  • integrity
  • a commitment to do the best for your clients
  • exude positive energy
  • you make it happen.

I could keep going on.   Clearly, you love what you do.

That I have contacted you a couple of times on the possibility of being involved with other  businesses, indicates that I think you are damn good.  Your assistance in those early days was of great value. I’ve always been appreciative of your effort and encouragement. And I am glad I’ve contributed in some way to your journey.
